ABOUT THE BEEKEEPING CLASSES
Each year, I teach a series of four classes. They are only 2 hours each. The class material is designed to cover each season. By spreading out the classes, you will retain the knowledge better, be well prepared for the challenges ahead, and increase your chances of producing honey in your first year! Here is the list of classes:

Beekeeping for Beginners – Introduction
Class 1 of 4

Beekeeping for Beginners – Spring
Class 2 of 4

Beekeeping for Beginners – Summer
Class 3 of 4
Covers bee biology, realistic time and cost commitments, Ontario regulations, risks, equipment basics, and a full seasonal roadmap to help you decide if beekeeping is right for you.
Learn how to prepare for your first bees, set up your hive, perform inspections, manage early-season pests, plan for nectar flow, and grow strong colonies through spring and early summer.
Understand monthly tasks from June to August, monitor and treat for mites, manage summer dearth, rearrange frames, and set your colonies up for successful honey production.

Beekeeping for Beginners and All levels – Fall/Winter

Advanced Beekeeping

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Daniel Kneblewski is a professional civil engineer with tutoring and teaching experience since 2010. He keeps bees on his 26-acre hobby farm in Waterdown, Ontario.
Daniel has had an interest in beekeeping since 2012, studied the biology of bees in 2018 and became an urban beekeeper in 2019. With guidance and mentorship from a master beekeeper, Daniel started with one hive in his Oakville backyard. Over the past seven years, he has doubled the size of his bee yards multiple times, caught swarms, bred bees, navigated major losses, managed new pests and diseases, and performed rescue calls.
He now manages 15-25 hives on a yearly basis, teaches classes and sell bees to his students. He is dedicated to helping new beekeepers gain the skills and confidence so they succeed.
Daniel has a strong passion for beekeeping, believes anyone can take on this wonderful hobby, and wants to pay it forward. Daniel has been training and teaching new beekeepers since 2021 Generations Marketplace in Simcoe, ON.
Daniel is now expanding his classes to Waterdown, ON to serve the west GTA and be closer to his farm through Eventbrite and this website!
